How come most ERP vendors do not offer Templates ?

Most of the ERP packages in the market are developed back in the 70's and 80's. Some few are developed in the 90's but even so they met the same limitation as of hardware and database limitations. Cosima did start developing our ERP software in mid 90's after such limitation were removed. In addition the development technology reached a new area in mid 90's and we managed to put it into our environment ahead of our development. The new technology we use are Rule- and component-based, which mean a rule is defined once and inherited throughout the system. To add new modules or change a function for us means we get all the existing rules and components loaded automatically.

How do we tailor a template

Our ERP software is developed as we said with modern meta technology. The whole software package are defined in our Teamwork module. It describes the overall structure like business areas having business objects, having data structure, having graphical user interface and so on down to the lowest level. When client specialities are made it is documented in Teamwork as a client specific change inherited from the given ERP version. When a base function in our ERP package changes as of new releases and improvements all sub versions (client versions) of the function inherit from its master. At any time we can export both standard ERP version and specific client version from Teamwork:
